How to become ‘world famous’ on Twitter
That's the title of this article in today's De Morgen (Media.Com).
For the record: the article says I didn't notify my Twitter followers that I would be taking a weekend off in the Ardennes last weekend. I actually did, what I told the reporter is that I don't feel the need to tweet my every move while I'm away from my desk, unlike some other Twitter users (which is fine, just saying I'm not really an oversharer).
And honestly, I don't care about the number of followers at all – though I tremendously appreciate that I'm able to get fast answers to my questions and fast solutions for my problems at times.??
Such a powerful medium, Twitter is, so I consider it actually a bit of a shame that the mainstream media is interested in how many followers one has or does not have.
