So it looks like some press directory was somehow obtained by some shady company, who of course uses it to spam the hell out of everyone on the list.
A bunch of morons actually reply to the email asking the spammer to unsubscribe their email address (ha ha), thus sending a bunch of fucking nonsense emails to the entire press list as well.
They are followed by another bunch of goons joining in (“+4, I want to get off this email list too !!!!!”) and then by another bunch of retards saying things like “People, please stop replying to all, you’re also spamming the list” thus replying to all and also spamming the list.
Thank God for the ‘mute’ button in Gmail.
